Three fishermen killed in boat accident

Three fishermen were killed when their boat caught fire off the Orissa coast Sunday and sank, police said.

The trawler caught fire and sank near Astaranga in Puri district, 80 km from state capital Bhubaneswar.

At least three of the 10 fishermen on board died while the others were rescued and taken to hospital by the coast guard, a police official told IANS.

The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained.
