Three killed, five wounded in China stabbing

Three people were killed and five others injured in a knife attack Monday in south China's Shenzhen city, police said.
Police received a call in the morning that said a man was randomly attacking passers-by with a knife in the city's Luohu district, Xinhua reported.
The man was arrested and the injured rushed to a hospital.
The 40-year-old attacker, surnamed He, was also sent to a hospital for treatment, as he had injured himself during the attack.
The suspect left his apartment in the morning while experiencing a mental disturbance, rushed into a roadside restaurant, seized a knife, injured the restaurant's owner and then attacked passers-by, police said.
Officials said the suspect had a history of mental illness. He began treatment for his illness in 1991 and has since been taking medication and undergoing checkups.
