Three killed in Mizoram road accident

Three people were killed and eight injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling rolled down into a deep valley in Mizoram, police said here on Saturday.

The accident, according to police, took place at Sekhum in Lunglei district of Mizoram on Friday night.

A police officer said that a Guwahati-bound vehicle was carrying 11 people when the van plunged into a deep gorge killing three people on the spot and injuring eight.

The injured were shifted to a government primary health centre at nearby Haulawng village.
