Three smugglers killed along Egypt-Israel border

At least three Egyptian smugglers were killed and three injured during clashes with the security forces along the Egyptian-Israeli border.

"The clashes took place at border point 33 near Al-Ouga exit, when the group attempted to smuggle a large quantity of hashish across the border," a security official told Xinhua.

He said the ages of the smugglers varied from 21 to 31 and the injured men were taken to the Arish military hospital.

"The six men were mostly from the Sinai extremist groups," he added.
