Tokyo stocks climb up
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 308.68 points, from Thursday at 17,880.51, Xinhua news agency reported.
The broader Topix index of all first section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 26.84 points (1.88 percent) higher at 1,453.81.
Gainers were led by real estate, utilities and foods.
The turnover was 2,805.50 billion yen (about $23.35 billion).
