Trader robbed of Rs 5 lakh in Ghaziabad

Three unidentified robbers snatched Rs 5 lakh from a trader in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police said.
Vineet, who runs a wholesale grocery shop in Masuri, was returning after collecting payments from retailers when he was waylaid around 1 p.m. by the three miscreants near the IMS College in Dasna town on the National Highway-24.
One of the trio, riding a motorcycle, pointed a pistol at Vineet's head while his accomplice snatched the bag containing cash. The robbers then fled from the spot.
The Masuri police has lodged a complaint of robbery.
"We are looking for the culprits," Masuri police station incharge Hardayal Singh Yadav said.
