TVS Motor net up by 24 percent

Two- and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company Ltd. on Friday said it closed the first quarter with a 24.8 percent growth in net profit.

In a statement, the company said it earned a total revenue of Rs.2,621.23 crore for the quarter ended June 2015, up from Rs.2,305.39 crore earned during the corresponding period of the previous year.

TVS Motor's profit after tax during the first quarter stood at Rs.90.27 crore, up from Rs.72.32 crore logged during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
