Uganda's national football team will camp in Zimbabwe ahead of its crucial 2017 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier with Botswana.

Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic said on Wednesday that the team will camp in Zimbabwe from May 20 before heading to Botswana for the game slated for June 4, reports Xinhua.

"We shall have enough time to camp in Zimbabwe and prepare better ahead of the game in Botswana. I think the weather in Harare we be similar to that on Botswana," said Sredojevic.

Uganda are second in Group D with seven points just like Burkina Faso who have a better head to head since they beat Uganda 1-0 last month.

In Zimbabwe, Uganda will have an international friendly with the Zimbabwean national team on May 31.

Uganda will face Botswana on June 4, and Comoros host Burkina Faso in the other Group D game the same day. Uganda last qualified for Afcon in 1978 when it was hosted by Ghana.
