Union minister Danve resigns

Union minister Raosaheb Dadarao Danve on Thursday resigned from the council of ministers, Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement.

President Pranab Mukherjee, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has accepted the resignation of Danve with immediate effect, the statement said.

Danve was the minister of state for consumer affairs, food and public distribution.
