UP legislator's wife murdered

An Uttar Pradesh legislator's wife was murdered at her home in Delhi Wednesday morning, police said.

Rehana, 40, wife of Haji Aleem, a legislator from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, was at her New Jafrabad home in east Delhi, while her husband was away for Haj pilgrimage, police said.

The police suspects the killing took place late night or early morning.

"The entry was friendly...," a police official said.
