US, UAE hold military talks

Abu Dhabi, May 12 (IANS/WAM) Top military officials of the US and the UAE met here Sunday to discuss issues related to defence cooperation.

Lt. Gen. Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, chief of staff of the UAE Armed Forces, received visiting Commander of US Central Command, Gen. Lloyd J. Austin.

The meeting, attended by senior officers of the UAE Army, discussed a variety of issues of mutual concern.
