Vice president greets people on Diwali

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Tuesday greeted people on the occasion of Diwali.

In his message, Ansari said the festival of lights signifies the victory of good over evil and reaffirms our belief in the noble ideals and morals of Lord Rama's life.

"I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, the festival of lights," said Ansari.

"Celebrated with traditional fervour and zeal, Diwali signifies the victory of good over evil. May this festival bring peace, harmony, prosperity and happiness in our lives," he added.
