Vijaya Bank posts higher net profit

Public sector Vijaya Bank on Friday said it closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with a net profit of Rs 161.66 crore, against Rs.142.59 crore posted for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

In a regulatory filing in BSE, the bank said its total income for the period under review was Rs 3,295.05 crore, up from Rs.3,289.05 crore earned during the comparable quarter last fiscal.
