Delhi experienced a hot Thursday with the maximum temperature recorded a notch above average at 40.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office forecasts duststorms and rain in some parts of the city Friday.
"The skies will turn partly cloudy, with duststorms and rain in some parts of the city," said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 41 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
Thursday's minimum temperature settled two notches below average at 24.2 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature Wednesday was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 24.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
