Woman Afghan politician dead after bomb attack

A woman Afghan politician Monday succumbed to injuries she sustained in a bomb attack earlier this month.

"Member of Nangarhar provincial council, Angiza Shinwari, succumbed to injuries at Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital in Kabul in the wee hours of Monday," an official told Xinhua.

Shinwari was seriously injured and her driver was killed after her vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb in the provincial capital Jalalabad Feb 10.

Four civilians were also injured in the attack.
