A 24-year-old woman was gang-raped at knife point inside her home by her estranged husband's four friends, said police Friday.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. in east Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area Thursday when the woman was alone at her home.
"The accused knocked on the victim's door on some pretext. As soon as she opened the door, the four forcibly entered her house and raped her at knife point," said a police officer.
"After the victim's medical examination, a case regarding the incident has been registered and hunt is on for the culprits," said the officer.
During investigation, police came to know that the woman has been residing with her second husband in New Ashok Nagar area after marital discord with her first husband.
The woman alleged that the accused were friends of her first husband, said the officer.
"At the time of the incident, her second husband was on night duty," added the officer.
