World Bank sanctions Rs.316 crore for Himachal eco project

The World Bank has sanctioned Rs.316 crore for the Himachal Pradesh Forest Eco-Systems Climate Proofing Project, which will be implemented in Kangra and Chamba districts, it was announced here on Tuesday.

State Forest Development Corporation vice chairman Kewal Singh Pathania said the project would not only provide self-employment opportunities to women and youths, it would also help in protecting the green cover.
