Xi Jinping meets Taiwanese leader

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday met Lien Chan, former chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT), Taiwan's ruling party, a media report said.

Chan is here to attend the upcoming celebrations in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese aggression, reports Xinhua.
