Xi keen to expand India, China friendship

Chinese President Xi Jinping Thursday stressed on friendship between India and China.

Xi spoke of mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries and hoped to achieve a lot during his first visit to India.

The visiting Chinese president who was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan said that the goal is also to "deepen our cooperation".

He said that we admire each others civilisation.

Xi is on a three-day visit to India.
