The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra was upset with the Pune police, after it decided not to allow the people to celebrate Dahi Handi during Janmashtami celebrations. The police is on the alert after the recent blasts that took place in Pune. But, the BJP decided to defy the diktat, asking supporters to celebrate in every colony.
