A matter of semantics

While Bharatiya Janata Party legislators and activists have refrained from making a public show of their happiness after the Indian military launched "surgical strikes" against Pakistani terror bases across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, many of them have been unable to define what a "surgical strike" really meant.
A former minister in Mumbai was heard telling his party men that the term stood for "a surgery conducted by a qualified surgeon on a patient suffering from a dreaded disease". He did not stop there, hinting that "more such surgeries were expected in the days to come".
