Amar Singh's new mantra

Back in the Samajwadi Party fold after a six-year hiatus, Amar Singh said he wanted to be "pragmatic like the Bachchans". "It keeps you non-controversial, available, acceptable and adaptable to any situation," he said. "To live life without spine is fruitful." So what would be his modus operandi in his new stint with the party? "I will not overshadow Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav with the uncle syndrome; I will maintain balance in politics and family ties," Singh said. "That means Akhilesh is nephew on the one hand, and chief minister on the other."
