Argumentative Indians

After each of the panelists at former chief economic advisor and Business Standard columnist Shankar Acharya’s book launch gave their views on where the global and Indian crisis was headed, session chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia asked the audience for some questions and then gave his concluding remarks. The reason why, he said, there was no clarity among argumentative Indians on how to deal with the crisis was that there was ‘no agreement on how to deal with the economy even before the crisis, when it was booming!’
