Cards to their chest

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi have held their cards on the Cabinet reshuffle very close to their chest this time. Both of them had a series of one-on-one meetings without aides. The final round of their discussions was held over a weekend when neither Pranab Mukherjee nor Ahmed Patel were even in New Delhi. Senior ministers have, therefore, become anxious and do not know whether or not to believe media reports that the reshuffle will be a minor one!
