Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had turned Delhi into a garbage bin. At the same time, he appreciated his government for having done a "commendable job" in preventing the outbreak of dengue in the national capital. The plan of action to clean up Delhi? One, BJP-led municipal corporations of East, North and South Delhi needed to "improve their functioning". Two, his own government would convene a two-day special session of the Assembly this week to discuss, among other things, the performance of BJP-controlled civic bodies. The move comes at a time when the Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up to fight polls to civic bodies in East Delhi, North Delhi and South Delhi next year.
