Flight grounded

After Ficci General Secretary Amit Mitra filed his nomination to contest elections for the West Bengal Assembly, eyebrows were being raised in the civil aviation ministry because he had not resigned from the board of Air India, where he was an independent director. Before ministry officials could say “conflict of interest”, Mitra sent in his resignation just in time from the campaign trail.
