Expensively produced on glossy paper, it is in danger of looking like Patel's personal album

Former civil aviation minister Praful Patel has launched a coffee table book, Udaan: A graphic glimpse through the life of Praful Patel. Published by Roli Books, the book attempts to trace, as its subtitle suggests, the life and times of Patel. At the very beginning, it says, “This book is just a humble pictographic compilation, and a tribute to the illustrious journey....” There is nothing humble about the book, though, which has little text and is filled with pictures. The early ones are black and white, but there are also several colour ones, with some showing the former minister with
