At a time when the central government appears to be in a public relations overdrive, leaving no stone unturned to project a positive image of itself, an organisation under the aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution does not have a regular person to interact with the media.
Or, if it has, the person concerned seems too low profile to be true. The same organisation used to have a robust system to handle media queries, which it used effectively in times of crisis. It also did a commendable job when the grain storage issue blew up about three years ago.
