Helmet please

If you haven't bought a helmet yet, don't ride around in a two-wheeler in Odisha. If you run out of fuel, chances are you won't get a refill.

Last week, the state government directed the police to take up the "no helmet-no fuel" initiative as a public movement and ensure its implementation in petrol outlets across Odisha.

Among other options, the state government had considered imposing a hefty Rs 500 penalty from non-helmet users and temporary suspension of their driving licences.
