Here today, gone tomorrow

An Indian Administrative Service officer of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) cadre, who is currently on central deputation, faced an unusual dilemma during his first encounter with the media. He had no business cards to exchange with journalists and took great pains introducing himself personally. When asked if it was the work pressure that kept him from getting cards printed, he said officials in the UP government opted not to print business cards. The reason: they were transferred just too often.
