Last week, while answering a question on Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) in the Lok Sabha, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal said as the finance ministry had not given enough money, there was no plan to increase the number of KVs, even though he believed that their expansion was a necessity. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was also present in the House when the Opposition tried to benefit from the reply. But Mukherjee didn’t retaliate. Rather, he told BJP veteran Murali Manohar Joshi, “Tomorrow onwards, I’ll skip the Question Hour as more ministers may have a grudge about unsatisfactory allocations!” Sibal tried to salvage the situation and added, “You (BJP) don’t try to create a rift between us. This is our internal matter and we will resolve it amicably.”
