Letters: A clarification on opinion piece

In my November 29 opinion piece, "A circle of professionals", I left out a very important person, Dr Shyama Prasad Gupta, who, in the World Bank in the 1970s, not only influenced us to leave our jobs and join GOI, but also left the World Bank himself to join as the director general of ICRIER, and later on became member, Planning Commission. Dr Gupta played a big role in encouraging me to join the Planning Commission in 1977.
