Letters: Back to Indira

Sonia Gandhi is absolutely correct in pointing out that the bank nationalisation by the late Indira Gandhi is what saved India from embracing the same fate as countries like the US. While private sector banks that never sleep are causing sleepless nights to millions of innocent Americans, our public sector banks are continuing to serve the dreams of millions. The funny thing is that while Gandhi recognises the virtues of public sector banking, her government is busy trying to bring in more private banks, and even more foreign banks.
