This refers to K V Rao's letter "Bad economics, good politics" (May 5). The writer has not mentioned the percentage of non-performing assets that comprise education and women's self-help group loans. The percentage works out to be very negligible. I have been living in Bangalore for the past nine years and experienced the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress' rule. Without a bribe, you cannot expect any service from government departments. Since Rao is a Bangalorian, I need not emphasise this fact further.
