Lost in translation

Maruti Suzuki Managing Director Shinzo Nakanishi was in Gujarat earlier this week to discuss the possibility of setting up a greenfield plant in the state. After meeting Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Nakanishi addressed the media waiting outside the CM’s residence. When the journalists present questioned Nakanishi on how the meeting went, he smiled and said, “The discussion was in Hindi and I could not understand most of it. But the chief minister’s approach was positive.” Nakanishi was accompanied by Maruti Suzuki Chairman R C Bhargava for the meeting.
