Making in India

Is the government's pet Make in India campaign really working? It is fair to ask that question after two years of launch. While the government is hoping to transform Asia's third-largest economy into a manufacturing powerhouse like China, here is how a key Opposition party leader assessed its progress.

"First, the Make in India logo is foreign-designed. Second, it has been over two years and the lion is only doing spot running - in fact, sometimes it seems it is running backwards," he quipped.
