Piyush Goyal, minister of state for coal, power and new and renewable energy, is attempting to migrate all his ministry processes online. So, first there was an e-auction of coal for power producers; then a mobile app for rural electrification and LED coverage.
Next, the tenders for power transmission projects will also shift online. Tendering of transmission projects is time-consuming and takes months at times. Moving online will make the whole process transparent and quicker. Will there be a mobile app for it anytime soon?
