Modi & the mouse charmers

Development is everything, Gujarat Chief Minister and prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi told a rapt audience at the Shri Ram College of Commerce last week and, he predicted, India’s youth will make the country a world power. They have, Modi suggested, also changed India’s image — as “mouse charmers”. “Earlier the world saw us as the land of snake charmers,” he said, “…We are the land of mouse charmers now — with the click of a mouse, our youth have drawn the world’s attention to India.”
