Housing finance company Aspire Home Finance threw an elaborate bash recently to celebrate reaching the milestone of Rs 1,000 crore in disbursements. The management ensured that everything about the event, including the cost incurred, was transparent and duly disclosed. The chief executive of the company proudly declared that Rs 35 lakh had been spent on the event, contrary to the belief that the firm had "blown" a huge amount of money on it.
