West Bengal’s Panchayati Raj Minister Anisur Rehman came to Delhi and called up Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for an appointment. Mukherjee, who was in Chandigarh, said he’d be glad to meet him and asked Rehman to call his office to fix the time. Rehman kept trying to call Mukherjee’s office but no one picked up the phone. After five tries, he gave up and called Mukherjee again. An angry Mukherjee told him what time to call and then blasted his officials for not attending to calls.
