PM's Jharkhand headache

If Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is worried about development projects in one state, it has to be Jharkhand. Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh revealed recently that an upright IAS officer, posted as development commissioner, was transferred by the chief minister because one minister threatened to withdraw support from the government. The reason: The bureaucrat had opposed a pet project of the minister.
