So far, journalists required the Press Information Bureau (PIB) card to enter ministries and government departments and, lately, to cover events at which the president and prime minister are present. But it seems the Bharatiya Janata Party just can't wait. It has asked journalists covering Narendra Modi's event in New Delhi on February 27 to carry PIB cards. The message is relayed citing Delhi Police's concerns to provide security at the venue, but party sources say it is a means of crowd control at the Siri Fort Auditorium.
