Problem of plenty

Monday’s briefing on the decisions taken by the Cabinet promised to be a long one when reporters saw Home Minister P Chidambaram carrying a huge stack of papers after the meeting. After briefing journalists on the large number of decisions taken by the Cabinet, he teased, “You still want to hear about the CCEA decisions or go home?” One reporter asked for just the important ones to be read out. Chidambaram deadpanned, “Every decision taken by the UPA government is important.”
