Quote, unquote

Upset at being “misquoted” in the media after becoming civil aviation minister, Vayalar Ravi gave a reporter from this paper licence to “misquote” him. After the reporter called him to check his recent statement on a top-level management rejig at Air India, Ravi said: “I never said anything like that and was misquoted. You can also misquote me, if you want, I will not send a denial.”
