With Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee continuing to skip Cabinet meetings, proposals relating to her ministry cannot be discussed. Last week, some joint power plant proposals involving her ministry had to be deferred.

Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has been advised to write to her on the matter. The state-owned NTPC has plans to jointly build power plants on the surplus land owned by the Railways.
