Readymade campaign

Support for Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee’s son Avijit Mukherjee has already started pouring in, despite the fact that his candidature is yet to be announced officially. The Mukherjee scion seems all set to contest in the upcoming Assembly polls of West Bengal on a Congress ticket. Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid dropped in recently at the finance minister’s bungalow to volunteer to campaign in his constituency. Avijit is expected to contest from the Nalhati seat that falls in Mukherjees’ ancestral district, Birbhum. Khurshid has told Mukherjee he is ready to camp in Nalhati and campaign for his son.
