Colourful kurtas were a permanent part of Vikram Akula's wardrobe during his years at SKS Microfinance. Whether it was roadshows with investors in the run-up to the famous IPO or high-profile conferences, the kurta could be spotted before Akula was. But all that changed last week as the man was seen wearing a neatly cut formal suit and trousers at the World Economic Forum's Summit in Delhi. Akula, who has severed all ties with SKS after some years of controversy, was seen talking passionately about financial inclusion and the government's Jan Dhan Yojana at one of the sessions. Asked if his new sartorial preference marks a new beginning, he said he was only following the dress code given by organisers.
