The 'better' partner

Subrata Roy and Vijay Mallya were partners in the Formula One team Sahara Force India, before the latter sold out. On Wednesday, Roy's lawyer Kapil Sibal indirectly suggested that his client was better than his former partner.

"There are people who have Rs 6,000 crore liability but are unable to come back to India," Sibal told the court. "But we had paid around Rs 11,000 crore and will pay." The comment elicited laughter in the courtroom.
