Why is the confusion, Pranab?

In a press conference at the Congress headquarters on Saturday, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was asked about projecting prime ministerial candidates before the elections. After he defended the projection of PM candidates, Mukherjee went ahead and added, “Our party is also projecting…” Then, he quickly recovered and said, “No. our party is not projecting anyone. Manmohan Singh is already there. We are contesting the election with him. So there is no need for projecting anyone else.”
