Ansari calls meet on Lokpal bill

Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Hamid Ansari Monday called a meeting of floor leaders of all parties to discuss the Lokpal bill.

The bill was tabled in the Rajya Sabha Friday but could not be debated as the Samajwadi Party created a din.

The bill could not be taken up Monday either as the house was adjourned after an obituary reference to member Sis Ram Ola, who died Sunday.

The Samajwadi Party has said it will continue to oppose the bill.
